Clay is an Eagle Scout, certified Advanced Life Support Wilderness First Responder, and registered Wilderness First Aid Instructor with Wilderness Medicine Outfitters. He has worked as the Outdoor Recreation and Ecotourism Program Director for a study abroad institute in Panama called Kalu Yala, a professional backpacking and rafting guide in Glacier National Park with Glacier Guides Inc., a backcountry chef for PRO Outfitters on the Smith River in Montana, a ski instructor at Whitefish Mountain Resort, and as a Senior Internet Marketing Specialist and Account Manager at a Premier Google Partner Company called Logical Position. He specializes in custom website development, Google AdWords management, and teaching courses on emergency preparedness. He holds degrees in Creative Writing and Wilderness Studies from the University of Montana.
